How do you feed your kids healthy, whole foods in a junk food culture? This book offers practical suggestions and reassures parents who are trying to avoid the tide of junk food that the science is on their side. I read quite a bit about this issue but I still found some useful tips and facts; the recipes didn't excite me but I already have more recipes than I need for this life and the next.

The authors are moms and food bloggers from two different backgrounds. One grew up on a farm and has devoted her adult life to food and cooking. The other changed her children's diet midstream when she realized the nutritional and ecological impact of processed food. The book is light on the preaching and heavy on the "anyone can do this."

Recommended for foodie friends who want some "atta girls" and ammunition for the fight, and for non-foodies who want some easy and healthy ways to improve their families' nutrition.
