Very interesting book, and not at all what I expected. It's a futuristic retelling of the Greek myth of Icarus that very poignantly reminds us of the impetuousness of youth and the frailty of life. Using actual, wondrous images of space taken from the Hubble Space Telescope, it also serves as a physics lesson about Einstein's theory of the relation between space and time.

Not a long read (I read it in one sitting over only a few minutes), it's a great fable to read to kids, especially older kids who might be able to understand the science of black holes that the book discusses. Nonetheless, the images, story, and science were fascinating, but I'd love to read a full novelized version of the story.
