When a girl's bloodied, beaten body is found on the side of the road in small-town, USA, the community is up in arms. They don't know who she is, who is responsible, or how they community will cope. Circumstantial evidence and pointing fingers accuse innocent people and a town goes crazy. But, of course, they target the wrong person. How the story all ends up is convoluted and calculating, especially for the poor, exhausted reader who has to muddle through of the hysterics.

Amelia Anne is Dead and Gone is one of those books that could have been terrific with a little bit of careful editing and portraying events which followed some much needed common sense.
