"Savage" is the first book in the Daughters of Jaguar series.

Christian, a young med-student from Denmark, is coming to Florida to stay for a year with the Kirk family to study at the med-school there. At his first night in Florida Christian almost dies under tragic circumstances. After that experience Christian changes forever. He’s hearing voices in his head and meets the mysterious girl next door who seems to know more about what happened to him than she lets on…

The story is told from Christian’s POV. I read too many books lately from women’s POV’s, so this was a nice change.
Christian is an interesting character and you will need some time to figure him out. He doesn't always play ‘nice’, but I still liked him and could relate to his decisions.

The story was charming and yet very realistic. Thank you very much for that, Willow Rose! It’s getting boring, when you read a complex story and then the people in the book get their happy ending too fast after only a few little fights. Life is usually not that simple. And never, when you have a crazy/complex situation. There's not a lot of action in this book, but because of the gripping story, I wasn't missing it at all.

The author did a great job with this very unusual story and it will be interesting in which direction the story will go.

(I wouldn't recommend this book to young-adult readers because of some mature content.)
