Knox has done it again! Atypical characters in a setting I've never seen a romance set: a bike ride across the coasts. It was awesome! Made me wanna take my rusty bike out and start peddling the manicured trails of Arlington. Tom was a tormented, melancholy knight on a Schwinn. Lexie was my Type A sister with a great, albeit researched and planned, sense of adventure. I really appreciate when authors pay homage to the greats in their contemporary works. Knox had Tom and Lexie talk a lot about "Walden" and have me seriously considering revisiting the pages of that book twenty years after of high school (Ms. Peckham would be delighted!).

The pacing was perfect. Tom's backstory was wonderfully constructed. Knox has a knack for laying out backstory like a thriller or mystery, revealing tidbits here and there which propel the reader forward to find all the clues to the character. The only thing missing was some paranormal or fantasy, but that's not her schtick. Can't wait for the next book!
