This book was moving and definitely worth reading. The author poured his heart out on every page, made every word worth reading and defined his life in each detail. He shared an intimate portrait of his true love and brought his Oxford experience to life. The story is captivating although written over thirty years ago the trials of life are much the same and his struggles to come to terms with religion and beliefs are easy to identify with. The story is woven with literary skill and shares the friendships he forged at Oxford with other scholars. His private letters shared wit C.S.Lewis add to every turn of his life as he struggles to come to terms with grief and a journey from atheist to Christian.
