I really enjoyed the book but found it difficult to read due to the rampant use of flashbacks and asides. I was three times as annoyed as a normal person by the "Three times faster then a normal person" used every third page. This is not your grandparents superhero book. There is three times the sex as a normal romance novel, three times the cursing as teen locker room, and three times the lesbian sex then a 1970 porn flick.

The book reminded me of the Wild CarsWild Cardsbooks by George R.R. Martin. But wasn't as well written or as vast in scope. In true comic fashion it has a twist ending, that every comic book reader will see cumming (see what I did there) by the mid point of the book.

But even with all its downsides I really and (I will repeat it twice more) REALLY, NO REALLY, enjoyed the story. Even though I new where it was going the trip was the fun part. As the story moves on and the asides and flashbacks come more seldom the story becomes much more enjoyable. I even stayed up late then got early to finish reading the book.

My biggest problem is I don't see how he can write a sequel to the book, and I really want one.

I would of liked to see more resolution to the book. It seemed a bit quick in the end but then that could of been my need for more story.
