Each of these stories creates and inhabits a fully formed world. Alice Munro is almost invisible as the writer. Each story appears to be written by the narrator in his or her own particular voice. Munroe’s descriptions are breathtaking. And the deep convoluted nature of personality and relationship is something that this writer mirrors with astounding delicacy, beauty and truth.
