I'm a sucker for graphic autobiographical travelogues. Loved the reflections on being lonely in a foreign country, not to mention the insights into Chinese society - although the overall impression of the Chinese I got was decidedly negative. But that's probably a result of the crappy time the author had and not necessarily a sign of racism, etc.
