This would have been a strong 5 star book except for the abrupt ending and that, even for a series, all ended too fast and furious. (and a little too neatly with the bad guy dying, though how he died certainly was unexpected and yet made perfect sense in retrospect) HOWEVER, Maggie has shown herself to be one of the most literary and strongest writers of the 21st century. wow. Her characters are unique, real, complex, unpredictable and yet, their actions make sense as to who they are. I love her magical-realism set in the real world of today. This book does remind me of Alice Hoffman's best books for adults. But Maggie has definitely found her own unique style and each of her books/series is as different as if they were written by different authors. We book lovers say this a lot, but I grieve not to be able to read another Stiefvater book for another year!!!

Anna You might want to try adding a spoiler tag. I really didn't need to know that...

Jackie Yes a spoiler tag would be good for others in the future... I am disappointed to know what happens.
