Totally bummed because he can't find anyone else to take to school for a sort of "Show and Tell: People Edition", a young boy decides that his grandpa, Frank, will just have to do. But Frank is so boring. All he ever does is complain and talk about how things were in his day. This is sure to be a disaster. But Grandpa Frank has a few surprises up his sleeve, and by the end of the day, he is the most popular person in the classroom.

I love this for Grandpa Frank's terrific personality. Just as with most older people, there is so much more to him than meets the eye. Children (and the rest of us, as well) tend to look at the elderly and think there is nothing interesting in them, they have nothing left to offer the world. We could not be more wrong. This book is a cute way to get that message across.
