I found this very compelling. It made me grateful that I've never struggled with an eating disorder to the extent that she has; I started going down that road in college, but fortunately got help before it took over my life. It makes me even more grateful to a great therapist and my close friend who got me through it. Knowing how easy it is to fall into an eating disorder, I really could relate to this author, even though I've never gone through which she describes. This is a very compelling book – you really root for her, and the horror of what she's doing is very powerful. A couple people have said that this is a good book for those struggling with eating disorders, and that's probably true – I think a lot of things in this book would be triggering to someone who actually has this disorder. But I found it very powerful.
