An interesting premise and some pop philosophy to think about on the subway platform, but this book has some rather serious flaws. All the characters sound exactly the same. Also, why did the author think it a good idea to introduce a Dahl and a Duvall in the same scene?

I enjoyed the quick read, but it left me feeling- empty. Despite all the talk of poor writing, the novel really seemed to exemplify the issues Scalzi found problematic in the writing he satirizes.
