Lucy Jorik walks out on the world's most perfect fiancee minutes before the wedding knowing only that she isn't good enough for him. A tough call considering she's the adopted daughter of the former president of the US. She escapes into the alley of the church and runs into a wedding guest, a biker friend of Ted's, who offers her an escape. He's not her type and doesn't pretend to be. He's rude, crude and lewd but she doesn't have a lot of options. She just knows her life isn't working as it is. Neither Lucy nor Panda are who they appear to be, not even to themselves and watching them come to terms with themselves turns out to be very interesting, sweet, sexy, funny and filled with a cast of other very human characters. Phillips is definitely on her game in this book. It isn't exceptionally deep but it definitely takes you on a journey, one that we all should want to go on now and again.
