really liked it
bookshelves: first-reads, contemporary
Read from August 03 to 31, 2012

The atmosphere of the book is somehow dark, the author uses lots of Spanish words, but I think this is what makes this novel different from others of its genre. I didn't think he was misogynistic as I have read in other reviews.
Some of the stories are written in the second person, which at first was a little confusing, and it didn't seem to me there was a chronological order in the stories, but my overall opinion on the book was good. And although it's a little depressing, I think that if the book arose those feelings in me,it means it caught my attention.
It's a biographical novel about the women in his life, and though it does not have a "happy ending" I really enjoyed reading it.
