This was a highly read-able historical fiction novel with a strong heroine and a unique setting - Key West in the mid-1800's. I definitely learned some things about lighthouse keepers of the time, the "Wreckers", and slavery. I thorougly enjoyed Emily's story. I would recommend this great book for anyone interested in well-researched history with a bit of mystery and a forbidden love story. I thought it was really good.
