I can't honestly rate this book...It was not really what I had expected and requires a knowledge and foundation in genetics and sociology that far exceeds mine.
All that being said....I personal friends who are musicians (guitar,fiddle,mandolin) that posses what the author refers to as a "Violinist's thumb". We've always regarded the trait as genetic...not quite sure any longer.
