This one was definitely better than the first ... though that is not necessarily saying much. The story moved along better but there is still something about the way the author has to throw in things like "attorney-client privilege" explanations that bug me. I feel like he could have gotten the ideas across without sounding so condescending to his younger readers (my main problem with book one though it looks like this is book three I can't figure that out because this one picks up where I remember the other one ending).

The main character is in the 8th grade but the "issues" he faces would be OK for a strong fourth grade or fifth grade reader and definitely middle school. I don't know that I'll get it because we don't have book one ... but if you do go ahead and purchase this one.
