Till We Have Faces:
by C.S. Lewis
I would love to talk to you about this book. I've read it 3 times and I love this book but I feel like it is so full I'm always missing things. Let me know what you think
I tried to read this a few years ago. Interesting, but I should try reading it again, I am sure I would absorb and understand all the little details.
I read this back in high school and I remember liking it a lot but feeling like a lot of the themes were beyond me. I definitely didn't absorb it all. I'd like to go back and read it again sometime. Thanks for the reminder!!

wow. i know i didn't absorb everything from this story, but am challenged by some of it's themes. wow.
one quote i really liked: There must, whether the gods see it or not, be something great in the mortal soul. For suffering, it seems, is infinite, and our capacity without limit…
Maybe the thought is that until we have faces, we won't see clearly, be seen clearly or live fully?
I secretly REALLY liked that the queen took her complaints to the gods. no hiding it, she had something to say and was not holding back.
