SuBC 09- Summer Romance or Romance Novel- 10 points

I love that Sparks' books could be the "how we met" story of your neighbour or co-worker. His stories, although touching and emotional, are always to real and they seem they they really could happen to anyone.

This was no different. I really enjoyed this story and can safely say it was my favorite NS novel to date. Have a child thrown in the mix makes it different from any of the others I have read so far.

It was somewhat predictable, as most NS novels are, but there's a twist at the end that takes you by surprise. I can't say that I was happy about Mitch's death, but it gave the story greater depth and made for very good reading.

I was also excited about the conclusion since I'm such a sucker for happy endings. My only regret is that you don't know exactly what happens with Kyle and just how far he ends up coming. Beyond that, Taylor and Denis are right where I wanted them to be.

Very enjoyable, quick read.
