There were just too many things that dragged here that kept me from giving this 4 stars. The "see" thing was annoying at the beginning but it made sense after it was made clear why there was emphasis. Putting so much focus on it later on didn't make as much sense since we already knew about him by then. Then there was taking too long, pages, on something that should have reasonably been a paragraph or two at the most. Tolliver is freaking out and about to leave and Noble doesn't make it clear quickly that he's a widow and instead takes a few pages to calm him down to "see" what's really going on? It was just unnecessarily frustrating because it was just overly dramatic for a scene that was dramatic already and this approach wasn't realistic.
I like Noble and Tolliver, like how their connection developed and their chemistry was great. I like Sarah for the most part though I think some of her stuff was a little bit unnecessary as well. Maybe I sped through one part too fast, but I don't feel like Tolliver's ownership of the store was properly addressed later on since what Noble pointed out earlier on was true, it was a part of him and he would lose it.
This is a nice read, I'm not disappointed that I read it, but I wish it was more of a clear 4 star almost 5 star read.
