really liked it
bookshelves: fantasy, own-it
Read in July, 2009 — I own a copy , read count: 1

Though it's not set in Damar, this book feels like The Hero and the Crown and The Blue Sword. A bit complex at times, as Robin McKinley is apt to be, it's still a simple story. The thing I loved most is the the power of ordinary things like honey and fire and the way their coming together was interesting and beautiful.
