Wow. This book left me speechless. It is by no means a page-turner and contains little to no plot, so if you require either just move on along...but I'm a reader who enjoys superbly-written anatomies and that's precisely what Feast of Love is.

Baxter's writing is far beyond reproach, and there are so many passages that made me simply stop and soak in what he accomplishes with his words. The writing is so tight, so lyrical, that it almost seems like one long poem. And the voice of each character in this book, each with his or her own musings on love and life, ring so true to that particular person that even in the first person, the reader almost instantly knows who is speaking.

This will easily go down as one of my top 5 books ever. Baxter is that good.
