There were five little puppies who were curious about what they saw when they explored through meadow. Throughout their explorations they saw different animals. In order for them to go to the meadow they had to dig a hole under the fence but they were not suppose to. So in return for disobeying their mother they got no desserts. It took them a while to finally listen to their mother. Instead of digging holes they covered the one they dug. The main idea of the book is to listen to what you are told to do. A good book to read to little kids because it show the consequence for not listening (no dessert). Good book to read.
