I received my copy from Pry for review and am overjoyed I have given their YA books a close look. E.C. Myers has written and emotionally tense and heartfelt story about teenage relationships and how no matter the speculative plot elements involved wish fulfilment is ever fraught with the bad side of instant gratification. I may not be YA in age but this book brought back all the conflicts and angst of that time. I know if I got an object that granted wished then or now the temptation would be too great even knowing wishes ever come with curses.

I have a longer review up on my site that I'll post later but I'll leave it short about how strong the writing , feeling and plotting is in this novel. The core os this novel is the relationships the main character Ephraim wants things he has and ultimately those he may have overlooked having all along. We never know the thoughts of the people we have around us and are in our lives. I miss a lot that goes on around me and so does our hero.... E.C. Myers tells a great and fun adventure story but it has heart and soul...
