When Hope Blossoms by author Kim Vogel Sawyer is a heart-warming story about loss, new beginnings and what can happen when you surrender all to God.

Amy Knackstedt is a young Mennonite widow who has moved away from her old order in Ohio to Weaverly, Kansas hoping to make a new start with her three children. But her new neighbour Tim Roper, isn't taking kindly to having Mennonites living next door to him, because they remind him of the faith he walked away from many years ago. Even worse, one of the Knackstedt's remind him of his dead son.

As Amy tries to get her children settled into a new life in Weaverly, she is not prepared for the rough beginning with her new neighbour, nor is she prepared for the change in her eldest daughter Bekah, who is wishing she could leave the Mennonite religion like their neighbour Mr. Roper.

Yet when circumstances throw Amy and Mr. Roper together, they form a friendship that surprises them both. But will Mr. Roper's past hurts and Amy's strongly held beliefs keep their friendship from developing into something more?

When Hope Blossoms shows what can happen when we pray. The author has created wonderful characters in a story that will keep you captivated until the end.
