it was amazing

This book was so fun--and filled with rich setting details that tugged at my heart strings (I'm a Texas native). Jenna's voice is funny and spunky, a refreshing shift from the ubiquitous "snark" of most YA protags. Jenna isn't "over it."

She's just living her life, which is sort of giving her a hard time--her mother has been out of commission for a while now, leaving her stoner brother in charge of running things. If that sounds like a bad idea to you, you're right in line with Jenna.

Then things get really bad: Jenna discovers she's being poisoned. Driving to the hospital, a car crash causes some mysterious changes in her brother, giving Jenna has at least one more mystery to solve.
