A sad, beautiful, wonderful book. It's about horses a little, but mostly about people, and about the American West in the early parts of the 20th century. I won't be able to stop thinking about this book, and the parallels with the early parts of the 21st century, for quite a while. I'm also amazed by a sense of how the world has changed in less than 100 years, and how much we take for granted today.
