I honestly thought this book was okay. It wasn't the best nor the worst. I think this isn't the type of book i would read for enjoyment, but thats only my opinion. Chinua Achebe is a very creative person when it comes to words and the literary devices he includes in this story are alliteration, simalie, metaphors, and many others. I honestly wouldnt read this book if i ever had a chance because it constantly got boring. I got lost at times so i had to reread several parts. Okonkwo was one of the main characters in the books and this book takes place in Umuofia. Okonkwo the son of Unoka has a high title in the book and is very powerful for the amount of wives he has and his status. The ony thing he is afraid of is failure. Failure haunts him emotinally and physically throughout this book. This book also contains a lot of paradox. I would reccomend this book to young adults because it may be diffuclt to understand !
