First I like to say that I liked the base of this book, which Dracula..Vlad the Impaler is actually born a girl, but raised as a man because her parents wanted a boy & not a girl.
Valerie/Vlad has killed all of the vampires she sired and now she only has on more to kill and that is her brother (which I took a instant dislike to..seriously you want to kill someone because they stole your spotlight?). Anyway on the night she plans her hit, she comes across Father Lance who she feels an instant attraction to.
Now..what could have been great story now seems kinda of okay. There isA LOT within these pages and I think thats where I loss interest. Too much information provided in some areas and then not enough explanation in other areas. Hell I know what Valerie/Vlad is, but what the heck is Lance? it's taken too long to find it out and I just don't like that in any book. It's very frustrating to me.
I'm not going rate this book because I don't think it would be fair since I didn't finish it. Maybe I'll pick it back up later when I'm in the vamp mood again. I was kinda of disappointed though..I mean a new and refreshing take on the vampire world is something I'm always excited to read about.
