Very interesting story!! After reading the first book I can see how the series has become so popular. I'm anxious to start on the next book.

Wendy is a seventeen-year-old girl from a dysfunctional home. In fact, on her sixth birthday, a year after her father died, her mother came at her with a knife, intending to kill her, claiming she was switched with her baby and she's a monster. Her older brother stopped the attack, but only after Wendy was injured. After that, her mother was locked up in a mental institution, and Wendy and her brother went to live with their aunt. Needless to say, Wendy is a bit unsettled and has a difficult time fitting in. She tends to get expelled, which forces her family to move...A LOT. In her first week at this new school, she notices a new boy incessantly staring at her. She confronts him, but he bizarrely has no real shame or embarrassment about it. He seems focused on her and has even noticed her unusual ability to coerce people into doing something just by thinking it. It turns out there is something to her "crazy" mother's claim. She was switched at birth with a human baby. She's a Trylle. And she's royalty. The boy so interested in her happens to be a tracker and he's come to return her to her home and rightful place as Princess. But what if the truth is no fairytale...?
