Boy Chris's review
Special Topics in Calamity Physics by Marisha Pessl
Pessl buried the lede under dull, lifeless petulance and enough spoonfuls of gimmicky references to choke a horse, which she then proceed to beat with even more gimmicky references. What could have been a deft reflection on civics and identity buried within a compelling mystery was instead a whiny, self indulgent, coming of age piece of drivel.
