This is just something to read. The story of a Hollywood star who comes back to her family home in the remote hills of Virginia to write a screenplay about her reclusive mother. Her mother wrote children's book while spending most of her life holed up in a cave. The narrative goes back and forth between the mother's journals and present day. The movie star meets a man and falls in love, but he has a troubled past. She stays with her Aunt and Uncle who raised her, but they also have a history. Everyone in the book has a secret, but the secrets are so obvious to the reader that there is no suspense. Good enough to keep reading but not good enough to recommend.
