i find it a bit ironic that you would have to re-read the sections of this book on improving memory. i understand what you're saying, i just think it's funny.

Although a bit disjointed, with chapters jumping from topic to topic, Darren Brown, the renowned illusionist, has still written a pretty interesting book on the subjects of magic, the mind and mysticism.
Early on he gives some insight into how his interest in magic and mentalism contributed to his eventual conversion from evangelism to atheism.
Next Darren deconstructs some simple card tricks, mind reading, and sleight of hand. His intention is to teach the reader these skills but I pretty much skimmed over this section. I'm not inclined to try any of these tricks on friends, and anyway, I already knew how most of them were done.
The middle chapters detail some methods for improving memory skills. I expected this section to be boring, but actually took away some ideas about how to better remember locker combinations and telephone numbers.
