bookshelves: novels, favorites
Recommended for: Anyone, but especially spouses, sons and daughters of pastors
Read in November, 2008

So good, I can't even begin to describe it. John Ames just stole from Chief the space in my heart labeled, "Most beloved narrator."

In a much less disturbing way, this novel addresses some of the same themes as Darkness Visible, but instead of leaving the reader in the depths of despair, it shows the restorative power of grace as it intercedes in human lives.
