Max and her Flock have been split apart while escaping from the mad scientists who created them and now want to destroy the world. The part avian teenagers must figure out how to work together while being apart since they are captured but then Ari saves them. The Flock are still trying to figure out the parentage issue and well, at least for Max, she gets to the bottom of this. Meanwhile, Ari has gone almost werewolf and may split the group's loyalties while Fang starts blogging like the rest of the world's teens. Whew. Yes, there is nonstop action in this one but a lot of loose ends, so when the end up in Germany for the battle to end all battles against an evil scientist who wants to reduce the population through genocide (shades of Hitler?). So, with so many loose ends, there of course is another book to read and find out how it all comes together.
