My favorite of the Potter series. Though I was very often annoyed with Harry during the story, it was for a very realistic reason. Harry spends much of the story feeling misunderstood, and venting his ire on those closest to him. Now, while it is true that someone (namely, uh, He Who Shall Not Be Named) is out to get him, who amoung us doesn't know a 15 year old like that?
My biggest irritation in the story was what I felt to be Harry's unrealistic reaction to the death of Sirius Black. However, re-reading this and the previous installment, I have seen a depth of feeling between Harry and Sirius that I had not seen before. Though I still feel that he was a little too upset by the death of a man he had known for little over a year, I've allowed myself to see how much Sirius meant to Harry.
