A 1953 novel about police detective Elijah Baley and his partner R. Daneel Oljiwah. The “R” is for robot, and while it’s a much more thoughtful mystery than some, it’s still a mystery. There are two other mysteries with these detectives that follow this one, I have the third, but I don’t think I’ll read it or the second. Asimov is less good or interested in writing about people and their motivations, then about machines, times, and situations; I’m much more attracted to people than machines and times.
