Sadly, I was hoping for more than this book delivered. I started reading about the Baxter family when I was in college, so while yes, they are a fictional family and there have been more tragedies and recoveries and "happily ever afters" than realistically would happen, I was hoping for something profound to tie up the 4 or 5 or more different series that have spanned the years with these characters. A tragedy I could have predicted, but it did bother me that it wrapped up so fast - not with years of grieving and figuring out how to continue on, but something that was wrapped up in too neat a package. The tragedy also makes me a lot less likely to go back and reread the other Baxter family stories again, knowing that this happens in the end. I didn't want to be disappointed by this book, but I definitely was this time around.

Jackie I also found it to bee a little too convenient which family got hit by tragedy as it was a family she didn't highlight as much!
