I routinely get disappointed by JP. He was one of his favorite authors, but I think too many books come out a year. I have really enjoyed the Michael Bennett series..until this one. No feeling of being involved with the characters. It just feels like he wrote it to get it written. Plus it leaves the reader totally hanging at the end...to read the next one. I keep reading them, but am getting less and less interested. Maybe it is his duel writing? Gulty Wives was better, and had a different co-writer.
