Good grief, what a rotten stinker of a book this is. It's written by the same author who co-writes the Peter and the Starcatchers series, which is one of our favorites so I hoped that the Kingdom Keepers series would have some of the same charm. Apparently, all of the things we loved about Peter must have been written by Dave Barry (the other co-author) because this book was terrible. We're listening to it on CD and the reader is horrible too, so that's not helping. My 7-year-old wants to keep listening, but I'm done. The book is poorly written, choppy, and unbelievable even for a sci-fi/fantasy. The premise could have been really fun, but the actual novel is a mess. Skip it.
