This was a suggestion by B&N in an email I got based on my recent purchases. It was only .99 and I figured, why not.

I was pleasantly surprised. There are great characters and an interesting plot.

Chase is a wonderful swoony boy. And he's extra swoony just because he doesn't even realize he's doing it. He's a perfect gentleman, a cowboy and a ranch owner all at the age of 18.

Briar is strong, but like Chase, she doesn't know it. She's unsure of herself, but once she realizes what she wants, she latches on with two hands. At one point, Chase calls her a firecracker about to go off and that's the perfect description.

Quite a steal at $1, definitely worth much more. I'll be looking at the author's other works.
