High-schooler, Ichigo Kurosaki, has always been able to see and hear ghosts, but when a ghost-eating monster attacks him, a mysterious woman shows up to fight it. Their encounter imbues him with the power to destroy such monsters, but also embroils him in the long-running plots and grudges of several secret societies that govern the dead. This long-running action manga is full of conflict, humor, intrigue, and its own unique cosmology, and is well worth the read. -- Hillary D.
