Every summer this woman writes a beach book and every year I read it. It's traditional, like eating peaches, growing tomatoes, and putting on extra sunscreen. This novel ventured a little too far into Jodi Picault territory for my taste, what with all the tormented teens, but it was reasonably entertaining . Special props to the author for including an unnecessary plot twist involving Perth, Australia so that she could vacation in Perth for a few weeks and write it off on her taxes as "research." I know your little tricks, Hilderbrand!
