I loved this book. I was intrigued because one of my friends on goodreads gave it good reviews. I am so glad I read it. I learned a lot about myself and my packrat tendencies. What the book does, in addition to helping you to organize what you own, is to help you look at WHY you own things. Why do you hold on to 'such and such' item, and SHOULD you? He talks about getting a vision of your own ideal for happiness and how everything you own ought to contribute to that happiness. If it doesn't and you're just holding on to it for various reasons (he goes through all the reasons people keep things. very thorough and interesting to see my own motivations reflected on paper.), he encourages you to eliminate the excess clutter. A great book, really. I think I might just conquer that packrat tendency after reading it!
