Bill Bryson is a frustrating travel writer. He very rarely plans ahead, so often his writing is filled with his incredulous complaints that things are sold out or he can't get a hotel room. It makes for delightful reading, I'm sure.

This is the story of his trip through Europe, following the same path he forged as a young kid out of college thirty years earlier. It'd be interesting if you plan to go to any of these places, but if you don't have any great plans to go to Denmark or Poland, it might be a bit dull.
