I couldn't put this book down. The war and today happen all at once for Castner, who sees a dead mentor when he runs and thinks about a fallen EOD brother every day. He calls his post-war feelings "Crazy;" his shrink calls them human. I don't think I've read a better account of someone experiencing PTSD and striving to live with it.
