I received an advanced copy of this book and it was the first book I have read by this author. While the story was uplifting and heartfelt I didn't feel invested in all of the characters and their storylines, particularly Josh. His decision to stay seemed adrupt, even though it was predictable. In fact, much of the story was predictable. While it was an easy read and I can see the start of this new series I'm not sure I will read them. I can see where the story is going with the handyman and I feel each guest who will come to stay at the inn will come damaged and leave feeling whole again. I enjoy reading novels of this genre but I wish the characters were more developed and had more distinct personalities. The handyman was the only one who seemed to differ from the others. Overall, this was an average read for me. It was uplifting but simply written.
