i would never forget this story! it really appalled me of how Roberts was able to have such a story in mind. it was about this reincarnation thing in which this young bachelor got his hands on this particular estate which holds a lot of tragic love story from the past. there was this low class woman who caught the attention of one of the young twins of a aristocrat family. but then the mother strongly opposed to the union and the other brother was extremely jealous of his brother that he wanted to hurt him in any way possible. the twins are a lot different from each other. anyways the story continued with the rape and murder of the young wife and the crime was made known only to the mother and to the brother. the young woman;s body was hid deep in the bayou. then the present generation are the reincarnates of those people.
the novel is really worth the time. i ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!!!
