I was ready to give up the dream the night I first glanced Emily Giffin's masterpiece peeking out from beneath a stack of occult literature in my local library. Little did I know that a maelstrom of inspiration was roaring my way. Where We Belong tells the harrowing tale of Rosa Delgado a struggling young mother recovering from the recent loss of her husband following a workplace shooting. Recently arriving in California by way of Puerto Rico, Rosa works day and night to save the money to move herself and her two children from a spirit infested apartment that grows increasingly terrifying by the day. At night Rosa's children are yanked screaming from their beds, while each day she wages a war against sexual harrasment, racism, and the ever-looming spectre of deportation. With Where We Belong, Emily Giffin has accomplished a feat few thought possible in topping her debut novel; Sailing A Sea Of Bullets, establishing herself as one of the most important novelists of the last decade. Rosa's tale of paranormal adversity demands to be savored by any connosseur of literature classic or contemporary.

I have to agree, I believe you are reviewing the wrong book. There is no Rosa & the summary you are describing does not match the book by Emily Giffin. Although, the book you are seeking to review does sound interesting.

Brandy wrote: "I am very interested in reading the book about Rosa and her haunted apartment."It's quite a compelling tale I assure you.
Do you believe the protagonist is the same "Rosa of the Sands" who is mentioned briefly in the cryptic and controversial epilogue to Giffin's "Baby Proof?" This is a topic of endless speculation on Russian paranormal forums.
I've speculated that such is the case, however, I'm convinced that Where We Belong's Rosa is but a variant manifestation of Sands' essence. I feel certain that any shared memories would only be experienced by Delgado in the form of mild deja vu.
Whoa - I never thought of it that way. But it suddenly seems so obvious. Now I'll have to re-read both BP and WWB - and probably DDJR as well. Needless to say, there goes my honors thesis. Shit dude, this is like Pale Fire - TIMES TEN!
